ACE Annual Report (2017)
In August 2017, our journal Annals of Cancer Epidemiology (ACE) was born with the goal to help human apply epidemiological studies to fight against cancers, by providing an open-access platform and user-friendly facilities to worldwide cancer researchers, clinicians, scientists and policy makers, and shape an effective communication and collaboration amongst them.
Honorary Editor-in-Chief：Ahmedin Jemal, DVM, PHD
Dr. Ahmedin Jemal received his DVM from Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia and PhD in Epidemiology from Louisiana State University. He obtained post-doctoral training in descriptive epidemiology at the National Cancer Institute. Dr. Jemal leads the Surveillance & Health Services Research Program at the American Cancer Society.
Editor-in-Chief：Freddie Bray, BSc(Hons), MSc, PhD
Dr Bray is Section Head of the Cancer Surveillance Section at the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), in Lyon, France. His areas of research revolve around the descriptive epidemiology of cancer. These include estimation of the global cancer burden and the analysis of time trends of cancer, including predictions of the future scale and profile of cancer and linkages to human development transitions.

Foreword to Annals of Cancer Epidemiology
The goal of ACE is to help human apply epidemiological studies to fight against cancers by providing an open-access platform and user-friendly facilities to worldwide cancer researchers, clinicians, scientists, policy makers, and shape an effective communication and collaboration among them.
At the birth of this new journal, we have a beautiful vista that the publication on this journal would directly or indirectly help human move even a little step forward in the battle against cancer, and we cordially welcome all the researchers, clinicians and relevant experts who have the same goodwill to join this effort.
